CHICKEN BIRYANI RECIPE

Today we’re making Chicken Biryani, a flavorful South Asian dish that combines succulent pieces of chicken with fragrant long-grain rice, infused with a blend of aromatic spices and herbs. This iconic culinary masterpiece offers a harmonious balance of textures and tastes, making it a beloved and cherished dish worldwide.

Ingredients

Here is the ingredients you will need to make this recipe:

• 1 cup of oil 

• 2 onions

• 2 tbsp of ginger garlic paste

• 4 tomatoes

• 1 chicken

• 2 tbsp of biryani masala

• 1/2 cup of yoghurt

• 6 cups of water

• black pepper seeds

• cardamom

• green chillis

• potatoes

• 6 cups of water

• 3 tbsp of salt

• white vinegar 

• 3 cups of rice

• food colouring

Method

Start by adding 1 cup of oil to a pan. Next, add your onions and cook for 3-4 minutes. Next, add in the ginger garlic paste and cook for another 2-3 minutes. Now add in your tomatoes and cook for another 5-6 minutes.Next, add in your chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes. Now add your Biryani masala and stir well. Next, add in the yoghurt and cook for 8-10 minutes. Next, add in your lemon slices and stir well. Now add in the black pepper seeds and cardamom. Next, add in the green chillis and stir well. Now add in your potatoes and again stir well. Cook for 8-10 minutes with the lid on. Make sure to keep stirring regularly in between. Now take a separate pan, add the water, salt, white vinegar and the washed rice. Cook 80% of the rice. Next, take another pan and start by adding a portion of the mixture that we made at the start and a portion of the rice. Stir throughly, and repeat. Add in the food colouring and cook with the lid for 12-15 minutes. Finally, stir thoroughly and enjoy.
